We're looking for skilled Residential Service Electricians with a minimum of 4 years of residential electrical service experience who are comfortable performing both service work and installations. The ideal candidate is dependable, customer-focused, and takes pride in quality workmanship.

Compensation

$75,000–$150,000 per year — hourly base plus performance pay on completed work. No sales quotas.

$2,500 sign-on bonus

Responsibilities

Perform residential electrical service, repairs, troubleshooting, and installations.
Diagnose electrical issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
Install and repair electrical panels, wiring, outlets, switches, lighting, and other residential electrical components.
Complete electrical installations safely, efficiently, and according to applicable codes.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical problems in residential homes.
Communicate professionally with customers; explain electrical issues and recommended solutions.

Qualifications

4+ years of residential electrical experience required.
Experience with both residential service and installation work.
Strong electrical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of residential electrical systems, wiring, and components.
Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams.

How much do electricians make at PV?

$75,000 to $150,000 a year: an hourly base plus performance pay on completed work, plus a year-end profit-sharing bonus. There’s also a $2,500 sign-on bonus for this opening. No quotas, no cap.

Is this a sales job?

No. You diagnose the problem, show the customer the options, and they choose. You’re paid on completed work, not on what you sell. There are no sales quotas at PV.

What experience do I need?

Four or more years of residential electrical experience, service and installs. Georgia doesn’t license individual electricians; you’d work under PV’s electrical contractor license, EN219149. An out-of-state license or a formal apprenticeship is a plus.

Do I get a truck?

Yes. A take-home van with a gas card. You start the day from your driveway.

What kind of work is it?

Residential service and installs: troubleshooting, panel and service upgrades, EV charger circuits, dedicated circuits for heat pumps and water heaters, wiring, lighting, and annual electrical checks for our maintenance members. PV is Georgia’s #1 Home Energy Rebates contractor, so electrification work is a big part of the schedule.

Is the work steady?

Yes. Three trades, 6,000+ maintenance members, and a schedule that stays full year-round. There’s no seasonal slowdown at PV.

Where will I be working?

Metro Atlanta, mostly inside the Perimeter: Brookhaven, Buckhead, Sandy Springs, Decatur, and the neighborhoods around them. Routes are zoned to keep drives short. PV is based at 3605 Clearview Pkwy.

What happens after I apply?

We call you within one business day. From there it’s a conversation with the Electrical Team, a sit-down with the Electrical Director, and a paid ride-along on a PV truck before any offer. The ride-along is how we hire, and how you decide.

Is there room to move up?

Yes. PV promotes from within; our leads and managers came off the trucks. Every electrician gets 125+ hours of paid training a year, with certifications covered.

When do benefits start?

90 days after your start date: medical, dental, vision, life, and short- and long-term disability, plus a 401(k) with a 25% match. PTO, paid holidays, and sick days are included.

Does PV run background checks?

Yes. Offers are contingent on a background check and drug screening. We consider qualified candidates with criminal histories in accordance with applicable laws.

Is there on-call?
